PROCEDURE VIDEO

Dr. Jones uses various techniques to help relieve pain. A large part of his practice is the use of interventional procedures – which is the use of injections – to treat patients with pain or discomfort.

These procedures can be performed on any part of the body and are done in a safe and effective manner, usually in an ambulatory surgical center or hospital. Below are a few of the most common procedures that Dr. Jones performs.

Sacroiliac joint (SI joint) steroid injection –

An interventional pain management technique used to stop pain that is caused by the inflammation and irritation of the Sacroiliac joint which can happen for several reasons. This is a very large joint in the low back which is often missed as the cause of pain.

Lumbar Interlaminar Epidural Steroid Injection –

An interventional pain management technique that is frequently used for low back pain. This is one of the most common steroid injections done in the low back to help with pain and irritation from herniated discs, degenerated discs or pain from sciatica or pinched nerves.

Caudal epidural steroid injection –

An interventional pain management technique that is frequently used for low back pain. This is a very safe and effective steroid injection that is done in the low back to help with pain and inflammation from herniated discs, degenerated discs or pain from sciatica. Works very well for patients who have had lumbar surgery and are still suffering from low back pain.

Hip Intra-articular steroid injection –

A steroid injection that is placed directly into the hip joint to help with pain. This can be done for several reasons but most commonly is done to help with hip pain caused by osteoarthritis and inflammation of the joint.

Cervical Epidural steroid injection –

An interventional pain management technique that is frequently used to alleviate pain in the neck and cervical spine area. An effective method used to get steroid medication into the spine to help with pain caused from herniated discs in the neck or other disc and spinal problems.

Lumbar epidural steroid injection TRANSFORAMINAL APPROACH –

An interventional pain management technique used to target painful and pinched nerves in the low back that often cause numbness, tingling and burning pain that radiates down the legs. It is a more specific technique than a regular and more commonly used interlaminar or caudal epidural steroid injection
